An off-track door is incredibly unstable and poses an immediate crushing hazard. Do not attempt to force it closed.

Why doors derail:

1. Impact Damage: Hitting the door with a vehicle, even slightly, can bend the lower vertical tracks.

2. Snapped Cables: If a cable breaks while the door is in motion, the loss of tension causes the door to twist violently and jump the track.

3. Worn Rollers: Factory plastic rollers crack and disintegrate over time, causing the hinge to pop out of the track channel.

Should I pull the red emergency release cord?

If the door is off the track, pulling the release cord can cause the entire heavy structure to crash to the floor. Keep clear of the door and wait for a technician.
